Join the event in Rome: Sustainable Rivers: Bridging Local and European Initiatives

Thanks to the joint effort of CNR, Rotary, Prep4Blue and  BlueMissionMed, we shaped the agenda of this “Stakeholder Assembly” as pilot to experiment, demonstrate, develop, and implement activities to address the Mission Objectives on rivers system management  – to amplify the impact from the local to Mediterranean and beyond – by using the model of Rivers Contract. The event is also possible thanks to the collaboration of BlueMissionAA and EcoDalli that facilitated the interaction with the LH projects.

As outlined in the agenda, the morning session will focus on project pitch presentations showcasing best practices in various river contexts, highlighting their impact on achieving the Mission’s objectives. Following this, there will be interactive sessions with stakeholders to discuss solution replicability across contexts and identify success factors or actions for greater implementation. The stakeholders present will be mainly Italians, but also Mediterranean associations will be represented.

The morning session will end in a roundtable discussion gathering perspectives from different basins and international associations and key stakeholders to identify factors for improved river management within the Mission’s scope and foster the exchange of best practices.

In the afternoon, the spotlight will shift to the Tiber River, where stakeholders, including the Rivers Contract, will discuss the implementation of solutions discussed earlier and other priorities for better water resource management. The Rotary will advocate for a cross-regional vision for Tiber management and mobilization of stakeholders towards these goals.

Please note that simultaneous Italian-English translation will be available throughout the event to ensure everyone can participate fully. The event will take place at the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, located centrally at Piazza di Pietra, in the Temple roomKindly remember to register to access the venue via the provided link by May 20th
