BlueMissionMed Launches Second Edition of “Society4Med” Award!
In the framework of the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030”, the EU-funded project BlueMissionMed proudly announces the launch of the second edition of the “Society4Med” Award. This initiative celebrates and promotes impactful projects that actively involve citizens in transformative actions to protect our ocean and waters — helping bring the Mission’s ambitious goals to life.
Following the success of its first edition in 2024, which awarded two outstanding citizen-driven initiatives, Society4Med will again recognize two best practices implemented in the Mediterranean basin, this time focusing on the following categories:
- Category 1: Sport & Leisure Initiatives engaging civil society in ocean and water protection
- Category 2: Blue Education Initiatives, including formal, non-formal, and informal education activities
Eligible applicants include NGOs, private companies, research institutes, schools, associations, and foundations. Participation is free of charge, and submissions are open via this Google form.
- Deadline for applications: 15 September 2025
- Winners announced: 30 September 2025
- Award Ceremony: Mid-October 2025 (date and location to be confirmed)
This award is more than recognition — it is a platform to showcase the power of civic engagement in shaping a healthier, more sustainable Mediterranean.
