Join BlueMissionMed and WWF onboard of the WWF Blue Panda Boat at UNOC!
BREAKFAST SIDE-EVENT"Navigating Toward a 2030 Clean and Resilient Mediterranean"
WHEN: 11 June 2025, 9.30am – 11.00am
WHERE: Onboard WWF Blue Panda Boat, UNOC, Nice (map of the location)
This year, the UN Ocean Conference comes to the heart of the Mediterranean at a pivotal moment for the future of our sea and our global oceans. As one of the planet’s richest marine biodiversity hotspots — and one under intense pressure from human activity — the Mediterranean stands as a litmus test for realising a 2030 vision where nature and people thrive together.
WWF and EU BlueMissionMed are organising a side-event presenting two powerful tools for action:
- The new EU BlueMissionMed’s “De-polluting the Mediterranean” Report – A first-of-its-kind analysis of marine pollution sources and practical solutions for governments, industry, and communities.
- WWF’s 2030 Strategy – A bold new approach to restoring marine ecosystems and building climate resilience.
Together, these efforts offer a powerful blueprint for delivering on the 2030 Global Conservation Goals and the EU Mission Ocean and Waters.
This side event will showcase key findings, spark dialogue, and launch a call to action for collaboration across governments, industry, civil society, and science.
